Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (store bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare Marinade: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create a marinade.

Marinate Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet skin-side down. Brush the marinade generously over the top of each fillet, ensuring all surfaces are well coated. For best flavor, let the marinated salmon sit for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches your desired level of doneness.

Finish with Lemon: Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the salmon with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top for a touch of color and freshness. Pair with your choice of side dishes like garlic mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.
