Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles

1 lb ground beef

6 strips of bacon, chopped

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup marinara sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 egg

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

      Cook the Lasagna Noodles:

Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

          Prepare the Meat Mixture:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels, reserving some of the bacon fat.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain any excess grease if necessary.

                Combine Meat Mixture:

To the skillet with the beef and onions, stir in the marinara sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Then stir in the crispy bacon and mix well.

                    Prepare the Ricotta Mixture:

In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

                        Assemble the Lasagna:

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat mixture on the bottom. Place three lasagna noodles over the meat, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, then a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers (meat, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella). Finish with a top layer of noodles, remaining meat mixture, and the rest of the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.

                            Bake:

Cover the dish with aluminum foil (avoid direct contact with cheese) and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                                Garnish and Serve:

Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
