Ingredients

1 box of chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)

1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1 cup mini peanut butter cups (halved)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, peanut butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Use a whisk or electric mixer to blend the ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Add Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter Cups: Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the mini peanut butter cups into the batter, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.

Pour into Baking Dish: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly to the corners.

Bake the Cake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Add Toppings: Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and quickly sprinkle the remaining mini peanut butter cups on top. Return it to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the peanut butter cups to melt a bit.

Cool and Serve: Let the dump cake cool in the baking dish for about 10-15 minutes. You can dust it with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for an extra treat.
