Ingredients

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into 2-inch squares.

Assemble the Pizza Bombs: Place a piece of pepperoni (about 2-3 slices) and a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough square.

Season it Up: Sprinkle a pinch of dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) on top of the cheese for added flavor.

Fold and Seal: Bring the corners of the dough square together and pinch to seal well, ensuring no cheese or pepperoni escapes.

Brush with Olive Oil: Arrange the pizza bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with olive oil and then the beaten egg for a nice golden color.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
