Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on for extra crispiness)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined. Set aside.

Heat the Skillet: Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.

Cook the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to get nice and crispy. Flip the salmon over carefully using a spatula.

Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce as it cooks. The salmon should be cooked through and glazed beautifully.

Serve: Remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the skillet over the salmon. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Enjoy: Serve with steamed rice or your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
