Ingredients

1 package of slider buns (12 count)

1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage

1 cup marinara sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup sliced pepperoni

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or Italian sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

Add the Sauce: Once the meat is cooked, stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.

Prepare the Buns: While the meat mixture is simmering, slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Assemble the Sliders: Spoon a generous amount of the meat mixture onto each of the bottom halves of the buns. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the sliced pepperoni. Then, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese for an extra cheesy layer.

Top It Off: Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese and toppings.

Brush with Olive Oil: In a small bowl, mix olive oil and garlic powder. Brush this mixture on top of the slider buns for added flavor and a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
