1 sheet of frozen puff pastry (thawed)

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup raisins or chopped nuts (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a rectangle, approximately 12x15 inches.

      Make the Cinnamon Filling: In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.

        Spread the Filling: Spread the softened butter over the rolled-out puff pastry, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top. If using, add raisins or chopped nuts evenly across the filling.
