8 oz spaghetti or linguine

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)

Zest of 1 lemon

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.

    Prepare the Shrimp: While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.

      Add Shrimp: Stir in the shrimp, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

        Combine Ingredients: Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and the drained pasta to the skillet with the shrimp. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired sauce consistency.

          Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley, and taste for seasoning. Serve with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
