1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon instant espresso powder

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces

½ cup heavy cream

½ teaspoon sea salt

For Topping:

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Extra sea salt for sprinkling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.

    Make the Brownie Batter: In a medium saucepan, melt the ½ cup of butter over low heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Allow it to cool slightly before whisking in the eggs and vanilla extract.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and instant espresso powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

        Bake the Brownies: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 15 minutes until it's set but not fully cooked through.

          Prepare the Salted Caramel Sauce: While the brownies are baking, make the salted caramel sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the sugar until melted and golden brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
