Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup bell peppers, sliced (mix of red, yellow, and green)

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

6 large lettuce leaves (e.g., romaine or butter lettuce)

1 cup cooked jasmine rice (optional for added filling)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Sriracha or sweet chili sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell peppers, and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5-6 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Prepare the Wraps: Lay out the lettuce leaves on a serving platter. For each wrap, place a generous scoop of the beef and vegetable stir-fry into the center. If desired, add a spoonful of cooked jasmine rice for extra filling.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and crunch. Serve with Sriracha or sweet chili sauce on the side for those who enjoy a kick!
