Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants, torn into bite-sized pieces

8 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green for color)

1/4 cup diced green onions

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/2 tsp paprika (optional for a bit of spice)

Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Croissants: In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, evenly spread the torn croissant pieces at the bottom.

Mix the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika until combined.

        Layer the Ingredients:

          - Sprinkle the cooked breakfast sausage evenly over the croissant pieces.

            - Add diced bell peppers and green onions on top.

              - Pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole, ensuring the croissants absorb the mixture.

                - Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Bake the Casserole: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed up and the cheese is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.

Enjoy! Scoop out portions and serve warm as a hearty breakfast ideal for family gatherings or brunch occasions.
