Ingredients

14 oz firm tofu, drained and pressed

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup unsweetened plant-based milk (e.g., almond or soy milk)

¼ cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot or similar)

2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Celery sticks and carrot sticks (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes or triangles. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Make the Coating: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a seasoned flour mixture.

Dredge the Tofu: First, dip each tofu piece into the plant-based milk, allowing the excess to drip off. Next, coat the tofu in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring all sides are well coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Air-Fry the Tofu: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the coated tofu pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching to allow for even cooking. You may need to do this in batches. Air-fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for an even golden brown finish, until crispy.

Prepare the Buffalo Sauce: While the tofu is air-frying, mix the hot sauce and melted vegan butter in a small bowl until well combined.

Toss in Sauce: Once the tofu is crispy, transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the hot tofu and gently toss until each piece is well coated.

Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with celery and carrot sticks on the side. Enjoy your spicy buffalo tofu bites!
