Ingredients

2 packs of instant ramen noodles (preferably non-flavored)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 tablespoons chili paste (adjust for spice preference)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sugar

2 green onions, chopped

2 soft-boiled eggs (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Sliced chili peppers for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes). Drain the noodles and set aside, reserving a little bit of the cooking water.

Make the Garlic Butter: In the same pot or a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden (be careful not to burn it).

Add Heat: Stir in the chili paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Mix well and allow it to simmer for about 1-2 minutes.

Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked ramen noodles to the garlic butter sauce. Toss thoroughly to ensure the noodles are well-coated. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of the reserved noodle water to help loosen it up.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions. If desired, top each serving with a soft-boiled egg, fresh cilantro, and sliced chili peppers for an extra kick.

Enjoy: Serve hot in bowls and savor the spicy garlic goodness!
