Ingredients

2 cups crushed graham crackers

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (12 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

1/4 cup strawberry jam

Extra strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish to form an even crust. Set aside.

Make the cheesecake filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully combined.

Incorporate whipped topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until no white streaks remain. This will give the cheesecake a light and fluffy texture.

Layer the cheesecake mixture: Spread half of the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust evenly.

Add strawberries: Scatter a layer of sliced strawberries over the cheesecake layer, ensuring an even distribution for an explosion of flavor in every bite.

Repeat the layers: Spread the remaining cheesecake mixture over the strawberries, then top with the remaining sliced strawberries.

Drizzle with jam: Warm the strawberry jam slightly in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds until it is pourable. Drizzle the warm jam over the top of the strawberries for an added sweet touch.

Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results, allowing the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

Serve: Once chilled, cut into squares, garnish with extra strawberries, and serve chilled.
