Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend

1 cup diced tomatoes

2 green onions, sliced

1/2 cup shredded lettuce

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

Cooking oil for frying

Salsa or hot sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Cook until thickened and well combined. Set aside.

Fry the Tortillas: In a separate pan, heat about 1/4 inch of cooking oil over medium heat. Fry two corn tortillas at a time until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.

Layer the Ensemble: On a baking sheet, place two crispy tortillas side by side. Spread a layer of refried beans over each tortilla, followed by a generous portion of the seasoned ground beef. Sprinkle a handful of shredded cheese over the top.

Stack and Bake: Add another tortilla on top of each, then repeat the layering process (refried beans, beef, cheese) again. Top with a final tortilla.

Melt the Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of each assembled pizza. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top each pizza with diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, lettuce, sour cream, and black olives if desired. Cut into wedges and serve with salsa or hot sauce on the side.
