Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Zest and juice of 1 large lemon

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh herbs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a large shallow dish or a Ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for deeper flavor).

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. If you don’t have parchment paper, lightly grease the sheet with a bit of olive oil.

Arrange the Salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. If desired, top each fillet with a lemon slice for added flavor and a pop of color.

Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired. Serve with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or a light salad.
